Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan Questionnaire available through Oct. 13

Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan Questionnaire

 available through Oct. 13

Seattle Parks and Recreation has put their Strategic Plan Implementation open house online. The purpose is to seek community input to inform their plans for pandemic and economic recovery and to learn more about what the public wants to see at our parks, open spaces, and community centers in the coming years. Recovery priorities include racial reckoning, climate change, public health and well-being, and economic recovery. You can respond to the questionnaire through October 13: https://sprstrategicplan.infocommunity.org

There are several pages of information and background materials that responders should review before answering the questionnaire. Some feedback gathered during preliminary outreach in 2019 is summarized here: https://sprstrategicplan.infocommunity.org/project-overview/  One category of feedback includes: “Make parks safer by removing encampments, cleaning up needles, and adding lighting.” See the above link for others.

The online questions allow one or more multiple choice answers.  A few include the category “other” where one can add some text. Additional comments and questions can be sent to pks_sprstrategicplan@seattle.gov
